What to expect

Three parts to every session.

Honest about what happens. Most people relax more when they know the rhythm of it.

Arrival & intake

You arrive a few minutes early. A brief conversation about what's going on in your body — what hurts, what you've been training, where you carry stress. Then I leave the room while you get comfortable on the table.

The session

Tailored bodywork. I use techniques drawn from sports, deep tissue, and craniosacral training, and I adjust pressure as I go in response to what your body needs. There's no script.

Aftercare

Integration and self-care. Sit up slowly. Drink water. I'll share a couple of tailored suggestions — a stretch, a nutrition cue, an exercise, a position to avoid — to support your recovery between sessions.

Who it's for

Therapeutic massage for chronic pain, tension & recovery.

If any of these sound familiar, this session is built for you.

  • You train, and your body knows it

Tennis, running, lifting, climbing, yoga. Repetitive load creates patterns. We unwind them before they become chronic.

  • You sit at a desk all week

Neck pain, upper back pain, shoulder tension, low back. The classic stack. Targeted deep tissue work for postural tension and the tension headaches that follow.

  • You're recovering from an injury

Working alongside your PT or chiropractor. Soft-tissue work that supports — not replaces — your rehab plan.

  • You're stressed, and it's living in your body

Stress doesn't only live in the mind. The breath, the jaw, the shoulders, the gut. Bodywork gives the nervous system a place to land.

Common questions

Honest answers.

Do I need to undress fully?

No. Undress to your comfort level. You'll be draped with a sheet the whole time — only the area being worked is exposed. Most clients leave underwear on. Some wear shorts or a sports bra. Whatever feels right.

How much pressure is "right"?

The pressure that produces results without making you tense up. We'll calibrate in the first few minutes, and I'll keep checking. "Hurts so good" is fine. "I'm holding my breath to survive this" is too much — tell me.

Will I be sore afterward?

Sometimes mildly, especially if we did deep-tissue work. Drink water, take a warm shower, walk gently for a few minutes that evening. Soreness should resolve within 24-48 hours. If it doesn't, message me.

Can I use insurance?

Yes — Aetna, Kaiser, Regence BlueShield, Heraya Health, and most auto insurance. The session itself runs the same; billing and price-per-session vary by plan. Easiest is to bring your card to your first visit and we'll sort it.

How often should I come?

Depends. Acute issue → weekly until it resolves. Maintenance for an active lifestyle → every 2-4 weeks. Chronic stress or pain → start weekly, taper as your body settles. I'll give you a real recommendation, not a sales pitch.

What if I'm late or need to cancel?

Life happens. 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you're running late, just text — we'll make the most of the time we have, no charge change for the first late arrival.

Calm. Restore. Perform.

Ready when you are.

Online booking. Insurance accepted. Most weeks have openings within 7-10 days.
